April 25, 2018 by Staff News Writer

According to the future leader of the PLN faction, Carlos Ricardo Benavides, the 17 new legislators of the National Liberation Party (PLN) will vote for the candidate proposed by the ruling Partido Acción Ciudadana (PAC) for the Presidency of the Legislative Assembly.

The liberationist clarified that the support will be only for the first legislature, which will begin on May 1st.

Benavides did not confirm if the PLN will aspire to other positions in the Board, but reiterated that it should be composed of several parties.

There are six Board positions that will be elected soon. In addition to the Presidency, the vice-presidency, the two secretariats and the two second secretaries will have to be elected.
