Poasito and Fraijanes have new Ebais

April 6, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Nine years after being seriously affected by the Cinchona earthquake, the residents of Poasito and Fraijanes de Alajuela finally have a new Ebais.

President Luis Guillermo Solís inaugurated and delivered the works on Wednesday morning. More than 400 million colones were invested to benefit a population of 2,700 people.

Giving the communities the necessary health works back, delayed for many years and built with their taxes, is an act that allows us to continue working, harder every day, to demonstrate that we can do public work, all over the national territory,”

said the President.

A medical office, an administrative office, a pharmacy, a space for laboratory samples and equipment were built in this work.

María del Rocío Sáenz, Executive President of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund, participated in the activity.

This work strengthens the services of the first level of care, facilitating its capacity to operate in a rural community with intense productive and tourist activity. This is the result of institutional and governmental commitment to address the health needs of our communities,”

said Sáenz
