July 14, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Pokémon Go is a great business. Nintendo made a hit with the release of this free game on iOS and Android. Users have gone crazy. Only in Apple operating system, it is generating 1.6 million dollars a day.

As published on Quartz, Pokémon Go is still the best bet of Nintendo. Despite being a free game, it is possible to make purchases within the application. For example, the player needs to have Pokecoins to buy items and go forward in the game. Thus, only in the U.S., users are spending 1.6 million dollars each day. Numbers from Android operating system are still unknown.

The application has had 7.5 million downloads in the United States.

Only 5% of people shops within the application but those who shop, pay an average of 9.60 dollars per month,

explained Quartz.

It is important to recall that, usually, iOS users are more willing to pay for gaming applications. In fact, the average expenditure is 15.34 dollars per month, compared to 7.31 dollars a month paid by Android users.

Since Pokémon Go release in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand on July 6th, the game has managed to make history in App Store.

Four and a half hours after its launch, it was ranked as the most downloaded application in the U.S., a record for a gaming app,

highlighted the publication.

In fact, Pokémon Go has far exceeded Clash Royale, a great, successful game… until now.
