President Solís is confident of the success of the Tuxtla Summit

March 28, 2017 by Staff News Writer

President Luis Guillermo Solís was hopeful in the success of the Sixteenth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Mechanism of Dialogue and Coordination of Tuxtla, to be held on March 28th and 29th in Costa Delicious.

Within hours of this event, the president said that he talked with several other presidents, who confirmed their participation. Solís cited the cases of Colombia, Mexico and Central America.

This is very important for the country, given the strong regional cooperation content that will be defined at this summit.”

When asked if Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega will come, Solís said they have not yet had an official confirmation. Nonetheless, he recalled that it is common for Ortega to confirm his participation a few hours before the event takes place.

With the slogan “Mesoamerica unites us”, the country will host the meeting with the presence of the 10 heads of state that make up the group of member countries.

It is a meeting that will highlight the potential of Public-Private Partnerships and the impact of the Mesoamerica Project.
