Romanian tried to traffic eggs with drugs

A Romanian national named Milcea will spend the next four months in pre-trial custody as a suspect in the crime of international drug trafficking.

The accused was arrested on August 30th, when he was about to leave Costa Rica, on a flight bound for Madrid, Spain. After a nervous attitude at the airport, he was arrested by officers of the Drug Control Police, and he was found to be carrying drugs in his body.

After taking his data, Milcea was referred to a hospital, where he released a total of 48 eggs of cocaine hydrochloride, weighing 500 grams.

The hearing of request for precautionary measures was held on August 31st, in the Criminal Court of Alajuela.
