Segura: “some of the cases of animal abuse are fake”

July 20, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Aracelly Segura, from Partido de Liberación Nacional (PLN), stated that some of the recent cases of animal abuse are fake and a bill to punish such a behavior is not necessary.

Since there is a bill, there are hundreds of  pictures of ugly, mistreated and injured animals. Some of these pictures come from real cases, but I think others are simply fake,

explained the legislator.

Segura also declared that it is not necessary to create a law to punish animal abuse because, in her opinion, education is the best weapon against abuse.

The bill can be approved, but it may continue, because the problem is related to the aggressors.

The legislator said that she would probably vote against the initiative, which could be approved in its first reading on July. 26th. However, she insisted on being against animal abuse.
