Smugglers left drugs in CR and ran to Nicaraguan soil

A group of people trying to smuggle medicines into the country ran to Nicaraguan soil leaving two backpacks and five sacks on the Costa Rican border when they noticed the presence of the police.

Border Police found a great variety of medicines inside the backpacks and sacks. In total, 4,472 pills of different drugs were seized with a value close to two million colones.

They also found 450 kilos of perishable products such as corn, donuts, and dairy products such as curds and cheeses.
