The Health and Pleasure Festival began on December 1st

December 2, 2016 by Staff News Writer

December 1st is a day to talk and educate, as the world day of response to HIV and AIDS is commemorated. Because of that, a number of organizations working on the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) will be conducting a series of activities, including free examinations and cultural events to support people that are living with HIV.

The tests are free and fast. Results are expected to be delivered within 20 minutes.

According to Michelle Jones, coordinator of the HiVos group, information and prevention packages will be distributed.

The Festival “Salud y Placer”, will take place from December 1st until Saturday, December 3rd at the Cultural Center of Spain (“El Farolito”) in Barrio Escalante.
