Three Americans were vicitms of a deadly crash in La Cruz

The driver of the trailer involved in the traffic accident in which four people died on Friday night was driving under the influence of alcohol.

The Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) confirmed that the subject, a Salvadoran, was tested twice. Both tests were positive.

The event occurred in La Cruz sector in Guanacaste, where a trailer crashed with a tourist minibus. The reports of the rescue forces indicate that the incident occurred at 8:00 pm in Santa Elena from the entrance of the Santa Rosa park, six kilometers to La Cruz.

The OIJ identified three of the four victims. They are a couple named Niemic, and a 50-year-old man maned Williams. The three of them are American citizens.

For this incident, the authorities reported the transfer of four American patients to Guanacaste medical centers.

The initial report on Saturday indicates that one of the tourists is in a delicate condition. The remaining three are stable.
