Volcanic activity in Turrialba volcano

Today, Turrialba volcano has had a new volcanic activity. It started at about 2:00 am and it has continued until now.

According to the report from the Volcanological and Seismological Institute of Costa Rica (OVSICORI), a tremor is felt near the volcano. In addition, the emission of volcanic ashes has continued.

Due to the weather conditions in the area, it is not possible to measure the erupsion column, but this may have exceeded 500 meters above the crater.
