What is vice minister Zúñiga’s future?

April 26, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The Presidential House does not know when there will be a resolution on Vice Minister of the Presidency Ana Gabriel Zúñiga’s future.

Last week, the Government asserted that the report of the Attorney General’s Office was received and sent to the Presidential House Legal Department to study the situation before making a decision.

Nowadays, the only clear thing is that the analysis is still taking place, but there is no a date.

However, Mauricio Herrera, Minister of Communication indicated that the administrative process has stages to comply and it must be  carried out in a responsible way.

The Attorney General’s Office declared as illegal the payment of a 65% bonus for exclusive dedication to the deputy minister. In addition, the Commission of Income and Public Expenditure of the Legislative Assembly made the same statement and requested President Luis Guillermo Solís to remove Zúñiga from her position.
