You can make a child happy at Christmas!

October 27, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Have you thought about how to make someone happy at Christmas? This is a good opportunity to do so!

“Una Sonrisa para un Niño” campaign aims to collect gifts for children of Tibás. At least a thousand, unwrapped, non-violent gifts are required for children aged 1 to 11 years old.

The campaign is an initiative of the Municipality of Tibás and security forces and they intend to deliver the gifts at the Christmas party to be held at the municipal stadium on December 11th from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Our goal is to work on behalf of children. In the holiday season there are many parents who do not have the resources to give a gift to their children. We rely on the kindness of the Tibás and Costa Rican citizens to donate a gift and make a child happy,

declared Ana Cristina Sancho, Deputy Mayor and member of the organizing committee.

The municipality and the security forces have conducted this activity for six consecutive years and it benefits small low income from all districts of the canton. This time, more than a thousand children are expected.

Those interested in donating a gift and making a child happy can call Glenda Godínez and David Pernudis to the following numbers: 8849-7687 or 8511-1956.

The gifts will be accepted until November 20th.
