Youngster survived by playing dead

June 7, 2016 by Staff News Writer

A 15-year-old boy pretended to be dead to avoid being strangled in an assault in which his 12-year-old cousin wasn’t so lucky.

The attack occurred on Sunday at Banderas de Pocosol in San Carlos. The assailants are allegedly two Nicaraguan brothers named Solís.

The deceased victim was dragged by the neck with a motorcycle and then the suspects strangled him to death. The boys were attacked for resisting robbery.

The young survivor was first treated at the hospital of San Carlos, but due to serious ear bleeding he was taken to  México hospital in San José.
