An official from the OIJ was arrested

March 3, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Official Alemán, agent of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ), was arrested in a raid conducted in Pérez Zeledón .

Wálter Espinoza, director of the entity, said that the man is directly linked to a criminal organization and he was apparently in charge of advising the criminal gang on how to proceed in their criminal activities.

This organization crried drugs from Colombia to Costa Rica and distributed it to the United States and Europe.

According to Espinoza, an analysis was carried out with prosecutors of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which determined the official’s detention.
