If you want to take a a one-day trip, pay close attention. You can get the most out of your time if you follow these 10 tips.

The Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT), through “Vamos a Turistear” campaign, made a list of factors that people must take into account when planning a trip of this kind.

Climate, clothing, schedules and surrounding attractions are some of the things you should take into account before deciding your next destination, so that everything goes in the best way. Pay close attention:

-Set the budget: The country offers multiple options for every budget, all you have to do is finding the needed information.

-Clothing: Know about the conditions of the place you want to go in order to have a confortable visit. In addition, you should always carry extra clothing.
-See the place: Even before the visit, learn the basic information, if it is a national park or where the tourist attractions are, ask about schedules and what facilities you count on.
-The environment: Anywhere, but especially if is a national park or biological reserve, you must follow the authorities’ recommendations.
-Never leave your belongings unattended: Be careful, do not leave your important objects unattended.
-Near attractions: find information about other options near the place you visit, maybe some of them will be interesting.
-Cars: If you are traveling in your car, remember to follow the appropriate steps and check if your car is in the best conditions to make the trip.
-Pics!: Do not forget to capture a good memory from that great moment.
-If you do not want to drive: Check the options offered by the ICT. Its offer includes visits to Poas Volcano or Arenal, coffee benefits, hot springs, visits to Tortuga Island or Liberia.
