December will be a rainy month

December 1, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Although December is characterized for its reduction in rainfall in Guanacaste and the Central Valley, this year the conditions are likely to be different, as the downpours with thunderstorms will continue in several areas of the country.

According to the National Meteorological Institute (IMN), this is due to the influence of the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

We anticipate possible rain near the coast of Limón in the early hours of the morning, as well as partial cloudy days and high temperatures in the rest of the national territory. In the afternoon and early evening hours, rain and showers will prevail, with thunderstorms in the Pacific, the Central Valley, the mountains of the Caribbean and the North Zone,

reported the entity on its website.
