La Platina Bridge will be closed for 24 hours

January 10, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The bridge over Virilla River will remain closed from 9:00 a.m. on Thursday until 9:00 a.m. on Friday.

The closure will be in the direction Alajuela-San José and it is part of the expansion work for the bridge to be ready in February.

The MOPT also announced the closure of one lane in the direction San José-Alajuela, from 10:00 p.m. on Thursday until 5:00 a.m. on Friday.

The institution said that bottlenecks are inevitable if all drivers insist on using their vehicles. They recommend the use of the train or bus services to avoid inconveniences.
