18 people arrested for links to drug trafficking and homicide

August 31, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) conducted 19 raids on Wednesday morning to dismantle a gang called “Los Limonenses”, linked to drug trafficking in Nicoya, Guanacaste.

In total, 18 people have been arrested for links with this gang, following an investigation that began several months ago.

The raids began at dawn hours because the suspects were a high threat, as they are also suspects of several homicides and crimes against property.
