Authorities find more than half a million dollars hidden in a car

The judicial authorities found more than half a million dollars hidden in secret compartments inside a car in Barranca.

After the discovery, agents of the Regional Delegation of Puntarenas arrested a 40-year-old suspect, in the sector of Barranca, who appears as a suspect of the crime of money laundering.

The agents received confidential information that indicated that a vehicle with a Guanacaste – Puntarenas route apparently carried a large quantity of drugs.

After several proceedings, the judicial investigators conducted a checkpoint operation with the administrative police. Now, the origin of the money is being investigated.
