3/4 Costa Ricans want to emigrate, 80% believe the country is on the wrong track

May 24, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Three out every four Costa Ricans want to emigrate, seeking better opportunities, and eight out of ten think the country is on the wrong track.

This is the result of the latest opinion poll conducted by CID / Gallup between May, 3rd and 14th, with more than 1200 people.

Unfortunately, according to the analysis those who want to leave are

those with better preparation that can offer more to the nation in coming decades.”

The same group is the one showing more apathy toward political parties.

The promise of “change” offered by Luis Guillermo Solis’ campaign did not materialize and caused a strong disappointment. Two years after he took office, 61% of the population disapprove of his work as a president.
