150 kilos of cocaine in sugar cane plantation

Agents of the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ), stationed in the Regional Office of Santa Cruz, are investigating the discovery of 150 kilos of cocaine in a sugar cane plantation located between Ortega and Cañas River in Santa Cruz de Guanacaste.

Preliminary reports indicate that judicial investigators received a confidential tip about the drugs in the area. Once on site, they proceeded to search within the cane fields and were able to locate five suitcases with 150 kilograms of cocaine, 4 plastic containers with fuel and a pump.

The agents are inquiring to find the perpetrators. In addition, they submitted a report to the Public Ministry.
