Two foreigners arrested for growing hydroponic marijuana

July 13, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) arrested two foreigners on suspicion of smuggling, storing and growing hydroponic marijuana in Belén.

Heredia’s OIJ agents conducted raids in an expensive area of Heredia and seized between 3,000 and 5,000 marijuana plants and 50 packs of vacuum-sealed hydroponic marijuana.

The foreigners are Dominican and Nicaraguan nationals, whose identities are in check, according to the Press Office of the OIJ.
