On July, 12th, agents of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) of Aguirre and Parrita destroyed a marijuana plantation, located in a mountainous area of the town Dos Bocas de Hatillo in Quepos.

According to preliminary reports, on Monday, the OIJ received confidential information indicating the location of an alleged marijuana plantation, so the judicial authorities proceeded to verify this, and later found a considerable amount of the plants in a private property.

519 marijuana plants of different sizes were destroyed, as well as bags of fertilizers apparently used to make them grow faster.

The case is still under investigation in order to identify the criminals.
