A school in Corralillo de Cartago was affected by the heavy rains

April 19, 2017 by Staff News Writer

A school in Corralillo de Cartago was affected by the heavy rains that struck part of the Central Valley.

Apparently, the downpours caused the collapse of the sewer system, which caused a large amount of water to enter one of the classrooms of the school.

Official from the Fire Department went to the place to assist the emergency. No affected students were reported.

The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) forecast rains for the rest of the week; however, this does not mean the early start of the rainy season.
