CNE reports 17 incidents in the last hours

May 29, 2018 by Staff News Writer

Due to the rains of the last hours the National Commission of Emergencies (CNE) has dealt with 17 incidents throughout the national territory.

Two landslides affected the areas of Puriscal and Pérez Zeledón, as well as an incident due to strong winds in Cartago.

Also, the entity reports nine floods in Alajuela, Paraíso, and Bagaces; and the residents of Curridabat, Desamparados, Alajuela, Grecia and San Carlos requested five inspections.

All of these were coordinated with the respective Municipal Emergency Committees and a response was received from the competent institutions. A roll of black plastic is going to be sent to Grecia to deal with the landslide in Bolívar,”

informed the CNE Press Office.

The CNE has maintained a shelter in Naranjo since last week.
