Officers from the National Coast Guard Service of the Ministry of Public Security arrested six foreigners of Nicaraguan and Colombian nationality who were carrying a cargo of cocaine on a boat in La Cruz de Guanacaste on Monday.

The fishing vessel “Eunice Golondrina 2” traveled without registration and the Drug Control Police (PCD) found 50 kilos of drug hidden in it. Each package was lined with a black ribbon and with the “Pure, 100% Original USA” logo.

According to the report of the Press Office of the Ministry of Public Security, they were able to apprehend the subjects after receiving an alert from the Directorate of Intelligence and National Security (DIS).

Three Nicaraguans, including Vargas (30), Larios (27) and González (31), and three Colombians identified as Obando (37), Bonilla (50) and Rodríguez (37) were arrested in the boat. None of them had a record.
