Heavy rains affected 15 homes in Puntarenas

On Thursday afternoon, a total of 15 homes were affected by heavy rains that caused flooding in Barranca de Puntarenas.

According to the Fire Department, the water in Barrio Carmen Lyra reached a height of 1.20 m and entered the houses.

Twenty people were reportedly affected, but none required medical care.

The incident occurred just after 5:30 p.m. The flooding also reached El Roble and Esparza, due to the heavy rains that hit the Pacific on Thursday.
