A man named Hurtado Regalado, who came from Perú, was arrested on Sunday night when he was carrying $22,804 in his pants pocket, as well as in the bag checked at the airport Juan Santamaría, in Alajuela. This was reported by the press department of the Ministry of Public Security (MSP).
According to the authorities, the money was not reported and the members of the Drug Control Police proceeded to arrest the 39-year-old man.
Finally, the subject was presented to the Public Ministry, because he did not report the money that exceeded the allowed 10,000 dollars. Likewise, the Prosecutor’s Office will clarify his legal status.
