September 30, 2016 by Staff News Writer

According to Border Police officers, a Mexican woman was carrying 6 kilograms of cocain hidden in 2 suitcases.

She was going by bus from Ciudad Neilly, in Corredores, to Palmar, in Norte de Osa. However, at the checkpoint, the border agents discovered the black packages camouflaged inside the bags.

Thanks to the joint effort with the Drugs Control Police (PCD), the amount of drugs she was carrying was confirmed and it was confiscated. The woman was arrested.

Commissioner Allan Obando commented that thanks to the preventive work, authorities have been able to make confiscations and apprehend people who could put in risk Costa Ricans’ security.
