National Guard confiscated boat without permits

On Tuesday, officers of the National Guard arrested the passengers of a boat that offered maritime transport services without the legal permits and registration in Golfito.

The police operation was carried out during patrols in waters of the Pacific National.

While searching the vessel that transported passengers between Golfito and Puerto Jiménez, the officers did not find the license.

In addition, the members of the crew carried no documents or permits to provide service in the area.

The Coast Guard coordinated with judicial authorities for transfer the boat to land.
