The Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica of the National University (OVSICORI-UNA), together with the Center for Research in Anatomical, Nuclear and Molecular Sciences of the University of Costa Rica (CICANUM), make important efforts in the monitoring of volcanoes through the use of technologies.
The video posted via Facebook page captured the eruption recorded in Poás Volcano on Tuesday, at about 8:58 a.m. and a column of about 1,000 meters above the crater.
The impressive recordings were captured through the use of drones, which have become fundamental tools for volcanologists.
