TSE started to deliver the new identity cards

September 14, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) started the delivery of identity cards with the new format. It can print 6,000 identity cards in 8 continuous hours.

Since the production of the new format is still being set, officials reported that the delivery will gradually improve.

Authorities also informed that citizens do not have to change their IDs if they are in good condition: all documents are valid until their expiration date.

As a result, the TSE reminds financial institutions, stores, notaries and public institutions that all valid IDs must be legally recognized.
